(Undated) — For the first time ever, all five Minnesota-based Division I men’s hockey programs have made the N-C-A-A Championship Tournament. The Golden Gophers were chosen as one of the one-seeds and will play in the regional in Loveland, Colorado. Minnesota will skate against Omaha in its opening round matchup on Saturday night at 8 P-M. Minnesota State-Mankato is the two-seed in that same regional and will play Quinnipiac on Saturday afternoon at 3 P-M. St. Cloud State takes on Boston University on Saturday at 5:30 P-M in the regional in Albany, New York. Boston College and Notre are also in that region. Minnesota-Duluth plays against Michigan on Friday afternoon at 3 P-M in the regional in Fargo. North Dakota and American International University will be the other two teams in Fargo. And, Bemidji State goes against Wisconsin on Friday afternoon at 1 P-M in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Lake Superior State and Massachusetts are the other two teams in that region. Each regional will play two games in two days with each regional champion advancing to the 2021 Frozen Four set for Pittsburgh from April 8th through 10th.
