(Ortonville, MN) — What has been referred to as a “tradition” has turned into a delicate situation for many in the Ortonville School district. Apparently there is a “tradition” in which the older students on the football team haze the underclassmen following the final football game of the season. The last football game was October 13th in Minneota and the ride home allegedly turned into a cruel and severe situation. In a Facebook post, one parent stated that five students so far had been disciplined. There is no word on whether any formal charges have been filed at this time but students at the school confirmed that law enforcement was at the school on Wednesday and interviewing students. School officials have confirmed an investigation is underway and the district takes the allegations seriously.
