Thousands of Twin Cities nurses will remain on strike after rejecting the latest contract offer from Allina Health. The nearly four thousand nurses voted down the three-year proposal following an all-day voting session Employees from five area hospitals walked off the job on Labor Day because of a dispute over health benefits. In a statement, Allina Health says it’s disappointed in the outcome. The company says the proposal was “eminently fair” and addressed many of the issues the union raised during negotiations.
