Nurses at Allina Health vote on a tentative three-year contract today (thurs) that would officially end the strike at five Twin Cities hospitals. Minnesota Nurses Association spokesman Rick Fuentes says it’s been a very emotional process for the four-thousand nurses who felt disrespected and devalued long before the strike began:

Union leaders say under the new contract, nurses will see improvements in both workplace safety and staffing policies. There are also changes in health insurance contributions. The strike began on Labor Day.
