The American Red Cross in Minnesota is doing its part to get help to the people of Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricane Maria. Spokeswoman Carrie Carlson-Guest says the Red Cross is mobilizing a massive response to the storm and adds “we do need financial donations to be able to provide that immediate disaster relief for the thousands upon thousands affected.” Carlson-Guest says as of now, five Minnesotans have been deployed to the area to help deliver food, water and supplies to those in need. Anyone wishing to contribute can do so here or by texting the word “MARIA” to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
