The Jacob Wetterling abduction may be linked to an Annandale man who was charged today with five counts of possessing and receiving child pornography. U.S. Attorney Andrew Luger says 52-year-old Danny Heinrich was arrested at his home Wednesday night. During a search of Heinrich’s residence in July, investigators found 19 three-ring binders filled with pornographic images of young boys, a long with a computer hard drive filled with images and VHS tapes. Luger says none of the images were that of Wetterling. He says in addition, a sample of Heinrich’s DNA has also been matched to a kidnapping and sexual assault case involving a young boy from Cold Spring, just nine months before Wetterling’s in October of 1989. Luger stresses Heinrich has *not* been charged in the Wetterling case.
