Archbishop Bernard Hebda has suspended all regularly-scheduled public Masses in the Catholic Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, citing the need to contain spread of COVID-19 coronavirus. Hebda says limited exceptions could be made for funerals or weddings if certain directives are followed. The archbishop says priests will continue to offer daily Masses even though parishioners will not be able to attend. He says many parishes have already found ways to broadcast the Mass and other spiritual devotions online, over the radio or on T-V. Other resources are available at the Archdiocese website. The Archbishop’s directive comes in the middle of Lent and just over two weeks before the start of Holy Week.
