(Chicago, IL) — The Twins stopped their four game slide and ended their season with a 10-1 win over the White Sox. The Twins blew it open during a six-run first inning in which they got homers from Gary Sanchez and Jermaine Palacios. The Twins finished the season 78-84 – a six game improvement over 2021. Luis Arraez won the A-L batting title with a .316 title. After walking twice he hit a double in the third inning to assure the title over Aaron Judge who did not play on Wednesday. Arraez becomes the fifth Twin to win the batting crown with Rod Carew (seven times), Tony Oliva (three times), Joe Mauer (three times) and Joe Mauer (once). Arraez ended the season on a nine game hitting streak going 13 for 36 over that stretch.
