Arrest made in McDonald’s shooting

An arrest has been made in the deadly shooting of 20-year-old Gabriel Perez at the Main Avenue McDonald’s in Fargo on Sunday.  Fargo Police says 44-year-old Miguel Cooley Sr. of Moorhead was taken into custody by a SWAT Team at a home west of Rochester Minnesota around 7:40 Monday night. He was taken without incident.

Fargo Police released a statement Monday night, about the arrest.

FARGO, N.D. (Sept. 24, 2018) – Monday, at 7:40 p.m., Miguel Jay Cooley Sr., 44 years old of Moorhead, was arrested for the homicide of Gabriel Perez on Sept. 23 at McDonald’s, 905 Main Ave. Cooley Sr. was arrested at a private residence west of Rochester, M.N. in Mower County by the Austin Police Department S.W.A.T. team working in conjunction with the U.S. Marshall’s High Plains Fugitive Task Force, North Star Fugitive Task Force, Mower County Sheriff’s Office, and the Austin Police Department. Cooley was arrested without incident, surrendering himself to the S.W.A.T. team after being ordered out of the residence.
