Damage assessments are under way after a thunderstorm packing wind-driven hail carved a wide path of destruction through parts of the Red River Valley on Saturday night. Wayne Lee, who has crop insurance agencies in Ada and Moorhead, says damage is some of the worst he’s ever seen. He says there are a half-dozen or more areas that were hit hard where the storm was “just devastating.” Lee says the swath of damage is about 10 miles wide and 40 miles long, stretching across at least four counties in Minnesota and North Dakota.
