Attempted abduction in Cannon Falls, police search for suspect

October 11, 2016 By Tasha Redel

Cannon Falls Police are investigating an attempted abduction of 10-year-old girl at Lower Hannah’s Bend Park, Sunday afternoon around four p.m. According to police, a white man in his 20s picked the girl up and began running across the park. The girl escaped when the suspect put her down to catch his breath. He’s described as six feet tall, 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white or yellow animated cartoon drawing over the left side, dirty blue jeans with holes in each knee and black dirty work boots. He was also wearing sunglasses with a hot pink frame and black lenses. Officials say there was a father in the park playing with his two young children before this occurred. Police would like to speak with him.
