Authorities looking for man, woman who escaped from federal marshals in Moorhead

June 26, 2018 By Bill Werner

The hunt continues for a man and woman who fled from federal marshals in Moorhead late Monday afternoon, clipping one officer with their car who sustained minor injuries. Deputy U-S Marshall William Klug says 36-year-old Jesse Byzewski and 42-year-old Laura Lorsung have a history of escaping law enforcement, but hadn’t gone to this extreme.  He says it’s “very dangerous when you start driving through people’s yards and fences. You don’t know if there’s kids, families, pets, anything on the other side of that fence when you go crashing through it.”

The fugitives were driving a maroon 2008 Mazda 6, North Dakota license 3-4-6 B-E-J, which has front end damage. Anyone seeing them should *not* approach and call 9-1-1 immediately.
