Kandiyohi County authorities are asking the public’s help in finding a man impersonating a police officer who pulled over a teenage girl Tuesday on Highway 23 just north of Spicer. The girl says the man, dressed similar to a sheriff’s deputy, told her vehicles with New London-Spicer High School parking passes were being stopped because of homecoming pranks, then asked to search her vehicle. Officials are asking anyone with information on the incident or who has had a similar experience to contact the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office. Citizens who are pulled over can ask to see I-D to verify that the person is a law enforcement officer.
