The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has released the names of two police officers involved in the shooting death of an unarmed north Minneapolis man Sunday. Officers Mark Ringgenberg and Dustin Schwarze are seven-year police veterans and have been on the Minneapolis force 13 months. Community activist Spike Moss alleges 24-year-old Jamar Clark was handcuffed when he was shot and is calling for a fair and thorough investigation. “We’re not asking any branch of the government here to judge this crime. We want the U-S Attorney to come in, the same people they sent in Ferguson, because the same thing you found in Ferguson, you gonna find in Minneapolis, Minnesota.” Police say preliminary reports indicate Clark was not handcuffed. The BCA requests any member of the public who witnessed or captured video of the shooting to contact them.
