A female student at Bloomington Jefferson High School is charged with second-degree assault for allegedly stabbing another student six times on Tuesday. Prosecutors are asking that 16-year-old Anika Quittschreiber be tried as an adult. Investigators say surveillance video shows Quittschreiber walking into the school with her right hand concealed in her sweatshirt pocket. She encountered the victim, they appeared to exchange words and the victim punched Quittschreiber, who according to the criminal complaint then stabbed the victim multiple times.
