Evidence suggests a body found on a rural road in southeast Rochester early Tuesday is Olmsted County’s first homicide of the year. Sheriff Kevin Torgerson says the victim appears to have been an adult Somali male in his 20s and had multiple gunshot wounds. The Sheriff says no suspects have been taken into custody and once the victim’s name is made public he is hoping the community will come forward with information about the victim’s activities and associations. He says investigators will be particularly interested in learning about his whereabouts and actions in the hours leading up to the discovery of his body in the middle of a street near Gamehaven Park.
