Both sides of abortion debate marshall election forces on anniversary of Roe -v- Wade

January 21, 2020 By Bill Werner

Planned Parenthood supporters have a “Birthday Party Phone Bank” tonight in Saint Paul on the eve of the 47th anniversary of the Roe -v- Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion. Key activists say they’ll call other supporters to encourage them to “get out and vote for a champion of sexual and reproductive health care” in the upcoming presidential primary. On the other side, Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life and other pro-life groups have their annual rally over the noon hour tomorrow (Wed) at the State Capitol. Meanwhile, in what will likely be a hotly-contested race for U-S House in Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District, M-C-C-L’s endorsement went to Republican challenger Michelle Fischbach. Democrat Collin Peterson’s supporters respond the incumbent has a long record of pushing for pro-life measures.
