A Brooklyn Park woman now faces first-degree murder charges in the February 2018 death of her eight-year-old son. 36-year-old Tasha Tennin was originally charged with manslaughter, but authorities say months after the boy’s death, his siblings told foster parents that Tennin locked the child in the garage for the night in January 2018 after he got into trouble. The boy was found the next morning, unable to breathe. According to the criminal complaint, Tennin told detectives her son came home from school ill the day before, but school staff told investigators he had been playing and jumping on a trampoline. Tennin has a court appearance Monday and prosecutors are seeking two million dollars bail.
