Charges: Alleged child molester fatally slashed wife’s throat in Woodbury home

Prosecutors say a Woodbury man on trial for allegedly molesting multiple children fatally slashed his wife’s throat, then sliced his own neck with the same knife. 72-year-old Harvey Kneifl is charged with second-degree intentional murder in the death of 72-year-old Julie Kneifl. Investigators say Kneifl told them his wife had been suffering from Alzheimer’s and that he told her that he was going to help her get to heaven. At the time of the alleged killing, Kneifl was on trial, charged with touching children on a school bus while working as an attendant.
