First-degree arson charges are expected against two 13-year-old boys who allegedly set merchandise on fire Sunday afternoon in a Walmart store in Hutchinson, causing an estimated one to two million dollars in damage. Authorities used store surveillance video to identify the suspects. They say the fire was set in the men’s clothing department and the store’s sprinkler system activated, but a small fire was still burning when emergency responders arrived. A Walmart spokesman says they’re grateful no customers or employees were hurt. The store remained closed today.
