A Postal Service employee is charged with firing several shots from a downtown Minneapolis parking ramp at the Federal Reserve Building, which “punched through fascia, broke windows, smashed through interior walls” and landed in office space. It was after hours but several employees were in the building and hundreds were on the street outside watching the Aquatennial fireworks display. The Star Tribune reports when authorities raided the Saint Paul apartment of 43-year-old Christopher Wood, they found “End the Fed” literature and counterfeit bills with the face of former Congressman Ron Paul, who wrote a book with the same title. No one was injured in the shooting but damage to the Federal Reserve Building is extimated at over 40 thousand dollars.
