A Chisago County man was sentenced today to 13 years in prison for his role in the drug overdose death of his ex-girlfriend.
Aaron Schnagl was convicted in February for giving 27-year-old Danielle Jelinek the cocaine that resulted in her death. In December of 2012, Jelinek was reported missing and her body was found in a pond near Schnagl’s home five months later.
Schnagl, who is already in jail on an unrelated drug possession charge, will get credit for three-and-a-half years already served behind bars in Jelinek’s death.
