Damage assessment and cleanup is under way in McLeod County in central Minnesota after Sunday’s tornado. Emergency Management Director Kevin Mathews says they’re looking at two paths, but are not sure if they’re from more than one tornado. “Looks like there’s a tornado path that was around the Biscay area, and then another one for sure with damage spots up by Silver Lake, which is along and east of Highway 7,” Mathews says.
A Sunday tornado also damaged nine homes in Scandia in east-central Minnesota but no injuries were reported. Right across the border in Polk County, Wisconsin, a potential tornado ripped through an area that had spent the weekend cleaning up from storms that tore through just a week ago.
