A Prior Lake man has been sentenced to more than 11 years in prison for burglarizing homes in the Twin Cities western suburbs while their owners were at the theatre. Prosecutors say 47-year-old David Pollard would take down license numbers of vehicles parked outside the Guthrie and the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, look up on the Internet the addresses where the vehicles were registered, and then broke into close to 40 homes over a three-year period. The judge said it’s hoped that Pollard “can use that intelligence and cunning to do something positive instead of wreaking havoc in the community.”
