A Columbia Heights family died in a crash Saturday afternoon in Atikin County in northeastern Minnesota. According to the Minnesota State Patrol the crash occurred near Highway 65 south of Highway 18, near Mille Lacs Lake. The victims 45-year-old Chris Moe, and his wife, 40-year-old Rae Anne Moe, along with their children 14-year-old Samantha and 12 year-old Anthony. Officials say the Moe family’s S-U-V lost control on the wet and snow-packed road, going sideways and struck another S-U-V. Three people were seriously injured in that vehicle.
