Comedian Louie Anderson dies at the age of 68 (AUDIO)

January 21, 2022 By Scott Peterson

The Minnesota comedy community–and the world–are mourning the loss of  St. Paul native Louie Anderson.    His publicist said this week that Anderson was in a Las Vegas hospital battling non-Hodgkins lymphoma blood cancer.  Louie died this morning at age 68.   Fellow comedian Pauly Shore wrote on Twitter that he said his goodbyes to Anderson at a Las Vegas hospital.  Anderson got his start at the Brave New Workshop comedy theatre in Uptown Minneapolis.  He went on to win several Emmy awards and appeared in more than a dozen movies. Here are two chats that MNN’s Scott Peterson had with Louie, the first in 2016, the second in 2018.
