A commission has recommended four candidates to Governor Mark Dayton to fill a vacancy on the Minnesota Supreme Court created when Justice David Stras was appointed to the federal appeals court in Saint Louis. The four finalists for the state Supreme Court seat are: Ramsey County District Judge Jeffrey Bryan…Judge Bradford Delapena, chief judge of the Minnesota Tax Court…State Appeals Court Judge Lucinda Jesson, the former state Human Services Commissioner….and State Representative Paul Thissen, former speaker of the Minnesota House. It’s expected Governor Dayton will announce his choice after interviews in the next few weeks.
