Attorney General Jeff Sessions strongly disputes allegations that he misled lawmakers about his knowledge of communications between the Trump campaign and Russia, telling a U-S House committee today he has never lied under oath. First District Minnesota Congressman Tim Walz doesn’t buy Sessions’ explanation that he doesn’t remember certain meetings. Walz says, “I think it stretches credibility. I think now with the collaborating evidence and this Papadopoulus and others who were in the room that clearly spoke to him.” Sessions said although he didn’t initially recall the March 2016 conversation, he now believes he said that he was not authorized to represent the Trump campaign in conversations with any foreign government.
