Third-district Minnesota Congressman Erik Paulsen tweeted “My heart goes out to my friend and roommate”, fellow Republican Representative Steve Scalise after this morning’s shooting in Virginia. Paulsen is also on the congressional baseball team but reportedly skipped practice to meet constituents for a White House tour. First District Congressman Tim Walz was also scheduled to be on a nearby practice field but was not there when the shooting began.
