Officials from counties small and large across Minnesota are trading notes in Alexandria today n strategies to combat the state’s opioid crisis. Susan Morris, Isanti County commissioner and president of the Association of Minnesota Counties says, “Oftentimes you have counties with more resources, and when they’re willing and able to share with us what’s working for them to smaller counties, then we can go home and implement some of these same best practices to make a difference.”
Morris contends it’s also productive to get county attorneys, probation directors, public health and family services officials all in the same room so they can talk across disciplines about Minnesota’s opioid addiction problem.
