A court appearance this afternoon for a 13-year-old boy accused of threatening to kill a classmate, saying he had a list of students he was going to kill and to “hide in the closet when I come back, because I will start shooting then.” Investigators say the boy’s mother told a deputy there were no weapons in their home, but officers later found what they term a significant number of firearms and ammunition, plus possible explosive devices. The father, 41-year-old Christopher Stowe of Vadnais Heights, is charged with unlawful possession of a machine gun and short-barreled gun, plus negligent storage of a firearm. Investigators say the youth who allegedly made the threats was home alone when officers arrived to execute the search warrant.
