Covid Strikes Hill Murray, Hockey Tourney Continues

(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament continues today at Xcel Energy Center as the big schools move in to take over the ice on the boys side. Today it was supposed to start with Wayzata against Hill Murray at 11 A-M but the Pioneers have been forced to withdraw due to Covid protocol meaning the Trojans get a free pass to the semifinals. The AA Tournament will instead begin at 1 P-M with Moorhead versus Lakeville South. The evening action starts with St. Thomas Academy against Eden Prairie at 6 P-M and the night cap will feature Andover against Maple Grove at 8 P-M. Yesterday the single A schools went toe to toe and the winners will move to the semifinals on Friday and all champions in both boys and girls both classes will be awarded on Saturday.

The Minnesota boys high school hockey tourney continues today and runs through Saturday night at Xcel Energy Center
