(Undated) — Tomorrow (Sunday) is the beginning of Daylight Saving Time. Before turning your back an hour before bed, it’s also a good time to change the batteries in your smoke detectors. The Department of Public Safety’s Bruce Gordon says for some it’s a matter of life or death, and every year they hear about malfunctioning smoke detectors and many times it’s because batteries have not been changed. Gordon says it’s also a good time to change the batteries in your carbon monoxide detector.
