As farmers gather at FarmFest, Governor Mark Dayton announced today that beginning in May of 2018, Minnesota will move from a 10-percent warm weather biodiesel blend to 20 percent at stations across the state. In October, the biodiesel blend will drop back to five percent to ensure cold-weather reliability. The governor says the biodiesel industry adds an average 63 cents to the market price of a bushel of soybeans for Minnesota farmers, and reduces carbon-dioxide emissions one million tons per year.
