A Fourth of July celebration hosted by the U-S ambassador opens Governor Mark Dayton’s three-day visit to Croatia to celebrate a 20-year partnership with that eastern European nation. Dayton indicates he’s particularly looking forward to tomorrow’s meal at Domobranska Barracks featuring a “Serve the Troops” contingent from Saint Paul. He says the group has done “such wonderful work” serving meals to troops in Kuwait, and at Camp Shelby in Mississippi before the Red Bull contingent deployed to Iraq and the Kuwait area. Dayton will also take part in military ceremonies, he’ll visit an elementary school, and attend a reception hosted by the president of Croatia.
