Governor Mark Dayton was in Moorhead and Worthington today, again pushing Republicans to agree on a bonding bill so he can call a special session before July 1st. The governor highlighted funding needed to finish the Lewis and Clark Regional Water System, saying the only way to get a bonding package done is through compromise. Dayton says, “There is no Plan B. There’s not an alternative. The alternative is failure. I can’t live with myself failing the people of Minnesota, and I don’t think others should be able to either.” Dayton is insisting on new investments in basic maintenance at MN-SCU campuses statewide, including 1.3 million dollars for Minnesota West Community and Technical College to replace the roof of the library and academic resource center at the Worthington campus.”
