Governor Mark Dayton has endorsed D-F-L candidate for Governor Erin Murphy, who got the nod at the state convention over the weekend but now faces a challenge in the August primary from Congressman Tim Walz and Attorney General Lori Swanson, who are both also running for governor. Murphy says she’s really honored to earn Dayton’s endorsement. She says, “We did tremendous work together to put Minnesota back together after Governor Pawlenty was in office and wrecked our budget and really hurt communities across the state.”
Pawlenty responds the positions of Democrats in the race for governor are extreme, naive and dangerous. “It does symbolize just how far out of the mainstream the Democratic Party has gone. They have really gone over the cliff,” Pawlenty says:
