Governor Mark Dayton is en route to Croatia to mark 20 years of partnership between Minnesota and that eastern European nation. Dayton says Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović visited Minnesota earlier this year, she invited him to come to Croatia and Minnesota National Guard Adjutant General Richard Nash strongly encouraged him to go. Dayton says he’s looking forward to attending a “Serve the Troops” meal with a contingent of organizers from Saint Paul. He’ll also visit an elementary school and attend receptions and ceremonies with top political and military leaders of Croatia.
