“It’s great to be home!” — says Governor Mark Dayton as he returns to the official residence in Saint Paul after an unexpected hospital stay of over a month at Mayo Clinic, due to complications following back surgery in mid-October. Dayton told reporters Tuesday, “I gotta be able to get down on the floor and romp with my grandsons. That’s my primary objective.” The governor says his lungs have “improved considerably” after an infection and most of the damage is reversible. He’s wishing Minnesotans a safe and happy Thanksgiving, which he says he will spend with his family at the Governor’s Residence.
