Funding for a health sciences building at the U-of-M…better buildings and more staff at the state Security Hospital in Saint Peter…plus options for more metro area transit — among items Governor Mark Dayton wants for him to call the legislature back into special session to pass a bonding bill. Dayton said Wednesday, “They all need to be in there. I expect them all to be in there. I require them all to be in there.” House Speaker, Republican Kurt Daudt responded, “I assume that the governor’s going to be reasonable…. If he’s not, if he’s gonna have to have everything exactly the way he wants it or he’s not gonna call a special session, it’s probably going to be difficult to get there — and I think that’s really unfortunate.” Dayton wants to meet with legislative leaders as soon as possible to try to get agreement on parameters for a special session.
