Governor Mark Dayton continues pressing President Obama to be more aggressive in stopping China from dumping low-cost steel on American markets which hurts prices for Iron Range ore. Obama told Dayton and other governors at a Washington D-C meeting Monday he will soon sign legislation giving the federal government additional tools and personnel. The president says, “You’re going to see firm, tough enforcement of our existing trade laws.” But Obama cautioned Dayton and other governors that closing off trade is not possible — but added the government *can* make sure there’s a level playing field.
