Under a week remains in the 2016 legislative session and Governor Mark Dayton is strongly urging House Republicans to release details of their 600-million-dollar bonding proposal for state public works projects “so everybody can see what it is, see what it isn’t, and use that as a starting point.” Turning aside a question about “when,” House Speaker Kurt Daudt said Friday people will see details of Republicans’ proposal “in the next week” — in other words, before the session ends. Daudt says lawmakers must deal with a transportation funding package before they get to bonding. Republicans’ bonding number is less than half of what Governor Dayton requested and about one-third of Senate Democrats’ proposal.
