Governor Mark Dayton is taking the same stance House Speaker Kurt Daudt did earlier this week: *no* talks to try to reach an out-of-court settlement with Republicans on their lawsuit challenging Dayton’s vetoes of funding for the legislature. A ruling from a district judge is expected soon, and Dayton says he’ll appeal if it’s not in his favor, just as he understands Republicans would also. The governor says, “Both sides recognize that this is ultimately a matter that should be decided for the sake of Minnesota for now and for the future by the Minnesota Supreme Court.” Dayton says there “really isn’t any more conversation to be had until the court matters proceed further.”
