Gov. Mark Dayton
Governor Mark Dayton is focusing on higher education during afternoon stops in Rochester (1230pm) and North Mankato (245pm), as he continues pushing Republicans to agree to a bonding bill that meets his requirements. Dayton said at the Capitol Tuesday, “I’m willing to compromise in order to reach an agreement and call them back to special session.” Republicans respond Dayton issuing a list of “must haves” indicates he’s not willing to compromise. Both sides are in a one-week “cooling off” period and plan to resume negotiations next Wednesday. The governor today is visiting Rochester Community and Technical College and South Central College in North Mankato.
