Governor Mark Dayton says he’s weighing the state’s options after Essar Steel again reneged on a promise by not making a 10-million-dollar payment due last week. Dayton says he’s “very, very concerned” and “extremely disappointed that Essar has not proven to be a trustworthy partner.” Essar, which is building a taconite plant on the Iron Range, agreed in December to pay back 66 million dollars in incentives it had received after missing several project deadlines.
