A spokesman says Governor Mark Dayton will sign a bill today that will allow liquor stores to be open on Sundays in Minnesota. And the spokesman says the governor, who’s recovering from prostate cancer surgery, will talk with legislative leaders today to try to revive a REAL ID bill that failed in the Senate yesterday. The sticking point appears to be whether undocumented immigrants would be able to get drivers licenses in Minnesota. Republicans strongly oppose it. Dayton has said he’d like the option, but it also appears he doesn’t want to hold up REAL ID legislation which would allow Minnesotans to use their drivers licenses to board commercial flights when new federal regulations take effect next year.
