The Democratic candidate for Minnesota attorney general, Keith Ellison, is going on the offensive after the latest Minnesota Poll shows him now trailing Republican rival Doug Wardlow by seven points — when last month he was ahead by five. Ellison said Tuesday he will push lawsuits against major drug manufacturers like the current attorney general is doing. But analysts say questions about domestic abuse allegations against Ellison are peeling some Democrats away from him. Ellison says he’s been very clear that it didn’t happen and answered every question. He says, “Somebody’s gonna be the attorney general… 15 days from now, and is that person going to help you with affordable drug prices, or are they not? That’s the issue.”
Republican candidate Wardlow has not said whether he’d pursue lawsuits against drug manufacturers, but says Minnesotans are disturbed that “Keith Ellison proudly stands with cop killers, wants open borders, and has been accused of abusing multiple women.”
