It’s Democrat Tina Smith versus Republican Karin Housley for U-S Senate in November after both handily defeated their same-party rivals in Tuesday’s primary election. Housley says about her opponent, “Tina Smith has been a lifelong politician, backroom politician–a political operative they say.” Smith responds, “I’ve always tried to listen really hard to people and figure out how I can help solve problems, and I think that that is what people are looking for in this election, not the kind of political lobbing of bombs.”
