The Republican-controlled Minnesota Senate passed a bill Thursday prohibiting any further legal challenges by the Walz administration to Enbridge’s Line 3 pipeline — but Democrats in the House then blocked that measure from moving forward. Roseau Republican Dan Fabian argued Minnesota loses tax dollars every year Line 3 is delayed — “over 30 million dollars tax revenue to the counties, the schools, townships, watersheds all along the route.”
Governor Walz indicated earlier he has not decided whether to continue legal action. The state Public Utilities Commission on Tuesday denied his administration’s request, refusing to reconsider its earlier approval of Line 3.
