Democrats at the state legislature continue pushing for a law that would make paid family leave available to all workers in Minnesota. Senate Assistant Majority Leader Katie Sieben (SEE-ben) says “the overwhelming majority of Republicans and Democrats support paid family leave. It’s a bipartisan issue.” But the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce opposes Democrats’ proposal to have employers and employees contribute equally to a family leave insurance fund.
